Mr. Boedeker oversees two plants within the facility, maintaining equipment and driving efficiency by implementing advanced technologies in collaboration with supervisors, operations staff and external partners.

Among numerous other responsibilities, Mr. Boedeker’s role encompasses managing all control systems, such as control valves, transmitters, programmable logic controllers, distributed control systems, weighing scales and communications systems. He also assists with electrical work, including Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories relay upgrades and transformer replacements, while overseeing hydrocarbon exposure management on transformers. Furthermore, Mr. Boedeker coordinates oil analysis and transformer repairs as needed and works closely with vendors and operations teams to maintain, service and troubleshoot equipment. His collaborative approach ensures reliable plant performance and optimal outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.

A source of pride for Mr. Boedeker has been his involvement in updating legacy equipment and resolving long-standing technical issues that had previously hindered plant operations. His expertise in control systems has been instrumental in addressing these challenges efficiently and effectively, thereby contributing to his company’s overall reliability and productivity. During his tenure in the Poly 2 unit, Mr. Boedeker worked extensively on the production of high-density polyethylene and polypropylene. These materials were supplied to major clients, such as Ford for automotive components and to 3M for medical products, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2015, before joining Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A., Mr. Boedeker served as an electrical field/service engineer at Current Power in Houston, Texas. In this capacity, he managed engineering tasks related to electrical systems in industrial settings. Earlier, from 2006 to 2015, Mr. Boedeker gained valuable experience as an electrician’s apprentice at Karnowski Electric. This role provided him with foundational knowledge in electrical installation and maintenance across various projects.

Since 1999, Mr. Boedeker has also served as the owner and lead technician at Audio Video Innovations LLC. In this ongoing role, he has overseen audio-visual system designs, installations and maintenance for custom home theaters, security cameras and networked computers for a diverse client base. Mr. Boedeker’s company, based in Victoria, Texas, offers a broad selection of audio components from brands such as JBL, JBL Pro, Sonance, Harmon Kardon, Yamaha and more.

Mr. Boedeker’s academic achievements have been integral to his professional success. In 2015, he graduated from Texas A&M University-Kingsville with a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering, with minors in mathematics, security and business, summa cum laude. While working toward his undergraduate degree, Mr. Boedeker completed a student internship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Mr. Boedeker earned a Master of Business Administration in management from Texas A&M University-Victoria in 2025, further strengthening his professional credentials.

Throughout his career spanning more than two decades, Mr. Boedeker has demonstrated a commitment to professional development and industry engagement. He is a member of the International Society of Automation and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, reflecting his dedication to staying current with advancements in automation and electrical engineering. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Boedeker is committed to civic engagement as a volunteer with United Way.
