As the chief executive officer of Cal Vet Integrated Consulting Services since 2013, he has overseen the company’s operations for more than a decade. His hands-on approach and willingness to embrace challenges have been instrumental in the company’s success.

In 2024, Mr. Walker expanded his entrepreneurial pursuits by investing in Temecula Sports Lounge. He found this venture to be even more demanding than his consulting business, yet he welcomed the complexity as an opportunity for growth and new experiences. Mr. Walker’s active involvement in managing the lounge reflects his enduring drive to remain engaged in his community and beyond.

Before these endeavors, Mr. Walker served as a senior project manager at R Systems Inc. in 2018, a global product engineering and digital solutions provider based in El Dorado Hills, California. In 2017, he served as an information technology project manager at Xerox Corporation. From 2014 to 2016, Mr. Walker was a senior project manager at Quest Diagnostics Inc. During this period, he played a key role in implementing a medical management information system for Cognizant in Albany, New York. His ability to navigate intricate project requirements underscored his proficiency in management and technology integration.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Walker worked as a special investigator for the U.S. Department of Defense, conducting government security clearance investigations between 2013 and 2014. This position followed his tenure as senior project manager at Camber Corporation from 2004 to 2011. At Camber Corporation, Mr. Walker was instrumental in implementing programs for the National Guard Bureau, restructuring state headquarters to align with the Joint Chiefs of Staff model, and overseeing readiness reporting for 10 states across Federal Emergency Management Agency Regions 8, 9 and 10 over five years.

Mr. Walker first worked as a project manager at Northrop Grumman from 2004 to 2005, where he contributed to significant defense-related projects. Working remotely from Sacramento, California, he was pivotal in meeting contract deliverables, developing training presentations and hosting virtual training presentations.

Mr. Walker’s distinguished military service forms the foundation of his professional journey. He retired as a chief master sergeant (E-9), attaining the highest enlisted rank from the U.S. Air Force after a career spanning 1975 to 2004 as a logistics management specialist. This achievement placed him in the top 1% of his profession, a milestone he regards as his most notable.

He earned an Associate of Applied Science in logistics management from Community College of the Air Force in 1990, a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1996, a Master of Science in management information systems from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2003, and a Master of Science in project management from Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University in 2012. Mr. Walker’s credentials are further supported by a project management certification from the Project Management Institute and a certification for online instruction. These qualifications have enabled him to excel across diverse roles requiring technical acumen and leadership.

Throughout his career, Mr. Walker has been affiliated with professional organizations such as the Project Management Institute. Civically, he is active with Toastmasters International and the National Veteran Small Business Coalition. He also generously donates to poverty-stricken children in Central America.

In recognition of his military service, Mr. Walker has been awarded seven Meritorious Service Medals and two Choice Service Commendation Medals by the U.S. Air Force. He attributes much of his success to his willingness to step outside his comfort zone, a quality cultivated early during his military service.

Mr. Walker is dedicated to building a legacy for his family. He is currently mentoring his son at Cal Vet Integrated Consulting Services to have him eventually establish his own veteran-owned business. Additionally, Mr. Walker aims to achieve financial independence, which will allow him greater freedom to pursue these passions while continuing to support opportunities for future generations within his family.
