Mr. Abasi’s diverse career is marked by a series of significant roles that have shaped him into a global leader in national defense and multinational relationships. Since 2001, he has been instrumental with the National Security Agency, where he contributes as a data reporting analyst.
Beyond his work at the National Security Agency, Mr. Abasi is the owner of EKZ Cybersecurity Industries, where he focuses on cybersecurity and aerospace analysis. Headquartered in Hampton, Georgia, since 2022, he continues to make great strides as an entrepreneur.
In 2024, Mr. Abasi briefly served in a contract role as an electrical engineer technician with Georgia Power Company. He initially joined the organization in 2012 as a subcontractor through a company called Metadigm. Mr. Abasi’s education led to a promotion to supervisor during the company’s transition from analog to digital meters, with responsibilities that included visiting substations to assess meter functionality, managing exposed or hazardous wiring and overseeing service cutoffs and restorations. His earlier tenure included an extensive period of service as a data analyst for the U.S. Department of Defense from 2008 to 2024.
Mr. Abasi’s academic foundation was laid at Georgia Southern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology in 2007. This education was instrumental in his professional journey, providing him with the technical expertise necessary for his roles in both government and private sectors. Mr. Abasi’s passion for computers and technology was ignited during his university years, having experienced the rise of Microsoft, AOL and dial-up internet, and was further fueled by his involvement in advanced mathematics programs.
Among his civic engagements, Mr. Abasi held various positions within Nka Ikemesit Ndito Nsit USA Tribal Organization in Nigeria and has been an active member of the Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria (USA) Inc., AKISAN, since 1991. His volunteer work extends to organizations like The Salvation Army and Microsoft, where he provides data support. Additionally, Mr. Abasi is committed to empowering women and supporting children in Nigeria.
Mr. Abasi’s contributions have not gone unnoticed. He received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Medal of Honor in 2024 and an Honorary Doctorate from Georgia Southern University. Mr. Abasi’s early recognition in Who’s Who Among American High School Students is a testament to his lifelong commitment to excellence.
