Heavily focused on insurance-based inspections, as well as FEMA compliance services, windstorm evaluations, forensic investigations, and building and risk assessments, Mr. Ruppert has dedicated the past 25 years to providing his expertise to commercial, industrial and large, multi-unit residential structures, including warehouses, factories and apartment buildings. His expertise in structural inspections and environmental assessments has been particularly instrumental in evaluating the integrity of historical buildings. Mr. Ruppert’s work is characterized by a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to transparency, qualities that have earned him the trust of clients and colleagues alike.
Before founding his firm, Mr. Ruppert was employed by the Nassau University Medical Center for over 35 years, advancing through roles between 1973 and 2009 and ultimately serving as the chief engineering supervisor. During his extensive tenure, he became proficient with high-pressure steam and chiller plants, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, and steam power plant management. Mr. Ruppert also garnered experience overseeing a staff of engineers, laying the foundation for his future endeavors in leadership as an entrepreneur.
Mr. Ruppert’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the New York Institute of Technology, completed in 1990. This academic achievement provided him with the technical knowledge necessary to excel in his field. Mr. Ruppert’s credentials are further bolstered by numerous certifications, including building inspections and site preparation from the New York City Department of Buildings and a professional engineer designation from the New York State Society of Professional Engineers.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ruppert has been an active member of several professional organizations, such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. These affiliations have allowed him to stay abreast of industry advancements and contribute to the engineering community. Mr. Ruppert’s dedication to service is also evident in his civic involvement as a contributor to the Lupus Foundation.
In recognition of his contributions to engineering and public service, Mr. Ruppert received a Certificate of Merit from Nassau County Executive Thomas Colada in 1988.
