In addition to her current work as both a director and lead, she has also held the position of senior partner and business development manager for strategic systems integrator cloud services and solutions. In this role, Ms. Soderberg has been instrumental in building and scaling high-impact partner ecosystems, working at the intersection of cybersecurity, enterprise risk and go-to-market strategies. Her efforts have consistently focused on orchestrating partnerships that achieve tangible results for both Microsoft and its clients.
From 2016 to 2017, Ms. Soderberg served as U.S. Azure CSP partner channel lead and account executive, where she played a pivotal role in expanding Microsoft’s cloud footprint through strategic partner engagement. Between 2013 and 2017, she was a senior business development manager for Microsoft Cloud Productivity, strengthening her expertise in cloud technologies and partner enablement.
Earlier in her career at Microsoft, Ms. Soderberg was a senior ISV partner manager and commercial lead for the U.S. developer and platform evangelism group from 2006 to 2013. Here, she led initiatives to foster innovation among independent software vendors and drive adoption of Microsoft platforms.
Before joining Microsoft, Ms. Soderberg spent 15 years at Ericsson from 1994 to 2005, where she directed the Marcom business and managed investor relations across Africa. She was recruited by Ericsson during a transformative period following the end of apartheid in South Africa and was among the first dozen employees to help establish the company’s operations there, a significant milestone in her professional journey. Ms. Soderberg’s relocation to the U.S. coincided with the acquisition of Western Wireless by VoiceStream and the subsequent merger of T-Mobile with Deutsche Telekom. Ericsson brought her in to develop and manage executive relationships with T-Mobile, with a focus on establishing the first third-generation wireless networks in the U.S.
Ms. Soderberg began her career at Siemens, a leading technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, mobility and healthcare, headquartered in Germany. From 1991 to 1994, she gained foundational experience that would inform her later achievements.
Educated in South Africa, Ms. Soderberg earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and communications from the University of Johannesburg in 2000. This educational foundation has been instrumental in shaping her approach to leadership, communication and organizational strategy throughout her career. In addition to her formal education, Ms. Soderberg pursued continuous professional development through an array of credentials, including certification from the Microsoft Top Talent Program in marketing management from Northwestern University, Microsoft Marketing Excellence certification, international marketing management certification from the American Marketing Association, and, among others, Microsoft certification in Azure fundamentals.
Ms. Soderberg is an active member of several industry organizations, including the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners and Women in Technology’s Seattle chapter. She is also dedicated to mentoring young women with exceptional potential, amplifying opportunities for others through guidance and support. Beyond her professional commitments, Ms. Soderberg is civically engaged as an active participant and mentor with The Sophia Way, a donor and supporter of Northwest Harvest and a supporter of various animal shelters.
Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Soderberg has received numerous accolades recognizing her technical impact and leadership. One of her most notable achievements came in 2015 when she was one of only 36 individuals globally to receive Microsoft’s Circle of Excellence Platinum Club Outstanding Achiever Award from Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella and Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner. This recognition celebrated her work in developing a global partner recruitment engine, a scalable model that transformed Microsoft’s approach to identifying and onboarding strategic partners worldwide.
Among other honors, Ms. Soderberg received an ISV CPE Award from Microsoft SMS&P in 2010, a Microsoft Sharefighter Award in 2012 and 2015, an M&O and DPE Marketing Excellence Award for SQL Adoption and Communication in 2013, a Microsoft Diversity Key Talent Program Award in 2013, and a Next Steppers Top Talent Program Award from Microsoft in 2016. In 2022, she earned the Microsoft Champion Award for her outstanding contributions to partner strategy in cybersecurity. In 2025, she was honored with the CRN Women of the Channel Award for empowering ecosystems and channels while positively influencing customer relationships. That same year, she received the Make It Happen Culture Award. Additionally, Ms. Soderberg received inclusion among Ericsson’s Top 100 Women Leaders globally.
Ms. Soderberg attributes her success to having strong mentors, maintaining an open mind toward feedback and insights from others, viewing them as gifts rather than criticisms, and focusing on strengths rather than weaknesses.
