Ms. Zaidiza began her career at SLB (Schlumberger), where she held several influential roles between 2008 and 2023. Prior to being recruited by BP p.l.c., she spent 2020 through 2023 as a global curriculum associate for drilling, digital well construction and new energies at SLB, where she played a pivotal role in shaping technical education while managing global service for drilling, digital drilling and new energies. Concurrently, between 2018 and 2023, Ms. Zaidiza served as a global drilling and well engineering technical community leader for the organization, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among professionals worldwide.
Earlier roles at SLB included Ms. Zaidiza serving as a drilling team leader from 2017 to 2020 after five years as a well construction leader beginning in 2012. She also gained international experience with positions such as IPM drilling and completions well engineer for Petroecuador, Ecuador’s national oil company, and SLB in Quito, Ecuador, in 2012. Before that, Ms. Zaidiza worked as a well integrity champion in Barrancabermeja, Colombia, from 2009 to 2010, as an IPM drilling and completions well engineer on the automated factory drilling and completions project in Poza Rica, Mexico, in 2009, as an IPM drilling and completions well engineer for the waterflooding joint venture with Ecopetrol at SLB in Barrancabermeja between 2008 and 2009, and as a planning engineer for Ecopetrol and SLB in Barrancabermeja in 2008.
Ms. Zaidiza’s educational foundation was laid at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, where she earned a Bachelor of Engineering in electronic engineering in 2008. To complement her formal education, she completed a series of training programs, including PASS project management certification and project management training at the Schlumberger Europe Learning Center, as well as coursework on the economics of the clean energy transition at Stanford University, all reflecting her dedication to sustainability within the energy sector.
Further distinguishing her professional journey, Ms. Zaidiza has maintained active membership in leading industry organizations such as the American Association of Drilling Engineers and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
