Following obtaining a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering in 2000 from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Mr. LaCroix provided superior service for six years with a sanitary sewer system evaluation company and acquired significant experience in SSES projects. He has utilized his experience in sanitary sewer evaluation surveys to implement sewer system rehabilitation projects.
Since 2010, Mr. LaCroix has flourished as a project engineer with the Manchac Consulting Group, a professional civil/environmental engineering firm headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana providing comprehensive expertise in the planning, design, and construction management for all types of public infrastructure projects. He designs and manages projects focused on water/wastewater treatment plant design, wastewater pump station design, civil design, energy efficiency and conservation strategy plans and studies. To remain aware of changes and advancements in his field, Mr. LaCroix maintains affiliation with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Louisiana Engineering Society (LES) and the National Association of Sewage Service Companies.
Mr. LaCroix entered the engineering field because he has always excelled in math and sciences. When he entered college, environmental engineering was something new and it appealed to him because he wanted to get ahead of the trend. As a career highlight, he points to his leadership in the design and construction of a $42-million wastewater treatment plant. In the upcoming years, Mr. LaCroix will be closer to 50 and he would still like to keep doing what he is doing. As he nears 60, he will start thinking about retirement.
