Willie E. Wright, General Superintendent at the Willdan Group Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
Since 2021, Mr. Wright has found success with the Willdan Group Inc. as a general superintendent, and from 2016 to 2021, he was a superintendent with CS Energy. Prior to these posts, he served as a construction coordinator with the solar division of the Bockmon & Woody Electrical Company, a site superintendent with the commercial division of Real Goods Solar, a superintendent with REC Solar, and an electrical foreman with SunEdison. Mr. Wright began working in his field as a commercial industrial electrician in 1986, a role he maintained for 15 years, before becoming the owner of Get It Fixed from 2001 to 2006 and transitioning to solar power as a service technician with SunEdison.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Wright earned his high school diploma, completed coursework at community college, and has pursued multiple professional certifications in his field. He is a Journeyman Electrician and Certified Electrician in the State of California. Further, Mr. Wright completed 24-Hour Arc-Flash Training, EM385-1-1 certification, and OSHA 30 training. He garnered experience as an aircraft electrician with the United States Air Force from 1982 to 1988 and has managed the construction of over 700 megawatts of commercial solar power infrastructure. In his free time, Mr. Wright offers free labor for electrical and plumbing needs to local churches in his community.
Mr. Wright has received multiple awards in recognition of his professional accomplishments. He received an award for Best Energy and Industrial Project from the Engineering-News Record in 2017, an award for Best Projects Completion and Sustainability, and numerous safety awards. He attributes his professional success to networking and his innate curiosity about electronics. Throughout his career, he has been proudest of working on upgrading cities and saving energy through renewable energy infrastructure and technology. In the coming years, Mr. Wright plans to continue working and finding meaning in his professional projects.
