An accomplished engineer and technology professional, Dr. O’Sullivan currently excels as a senior systems engineer with BAE Systems. In this position, he works to develop and manufacture equipment for the identification of vehicles. The military uses this technology to prevent accidental friendly fire, and control towers use it to recognize aircraft and supplement radar information.
Prior to his work with BAE Systems, Dr. O’Sullivan worked with the Northrop Grumman Corporation. He garnered additional experience with Honeywell International Inc. Among his professional achievements, Dr. O’Sullivan holds a patent for an antenna.
In preparation for his career, Dr. O’Sullivan attended the New York Institute of Technology, graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. He continued his higher education at the Stevens Institute of Technology, earning a Master of Science in systems engineering in 2007. In 2019, Dr. O’Sullivan concluded his studies with a Doctor of Philosophy in cybersecurity.
Dr. O’Sullivan attributes his success to his colleagues and coworkers. Coming from humble beginnings, he is the first in his family to finish high school. In the coming years, he plans to use his PhD to serve as an instructor at a college level.
