Mr. Rafi embarked on his journey in the process industry in 1995, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in metallurgy/materials science engineering from the University of Toronto in 1995, later securing a certificate in project management in 2011. His career trajectory commenced taking on the role of design engineer at Mold-Masters Limited from 1995 to 1998, advancing to process engineer at Sandvik Materials Technology Canada from 1998 to 2000, and then serving as a product development engineer at JDS Uniphase’s R & D Group from 2000 to 2003. He continued his path, contributing as a process and quality engineer at Tube-Fab Ltd. from 2004 to 2005, transitioning to a technical sales engineer and professional engineer at Mold-Masters Limited from 2005 to 2013, and further to applications engineer at Husky Injection Molding Systems from 2013 to 2017.
Mr. Rafi’s career took another turn as he stepped into project management roles, initially as a project manager at StackTeck Systems Ltd. from 2017 to 2018 and subsequently as program manager from 2018 to 2020 before assuming the current mantle of senior manufacturing process engineer at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics from 2020. Notably, his contributions extend beyond his professional endeavors as he has actively pursued certifications such as The Six Morning Habits of High Performers from LinkedIn and Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute.
