With an esteemed career spanning over 46 years, Mr. Chandler has excelled as a veteran aerospace engineer. He has been an associate professor at California State Polytechnic University since 2015. Prior to this, he was the director of advanced vehicle subsystems and technologies at PW, The Boeing Company, from 1969 to 2015. Mr. Chandler holds a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Southern California, which he obtained in 1998, complementing his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the same institution and California Polytechnic State University, respectively. 

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Chandler has been an active member of various professional organizations, serving as the chairman of the Propulsion Technical Committee at ASME for a year. He has authored numerous technical publications and is certified as a registered professional engineer in California. Mr. Chandler’s outstanding contributions have been recognized through multiple prestigious awards, including the Outstanding Performance and Contributions to Success award, the Outstanding Performance and Contributions in Engineering Accelerated Hiring award, and the Outstanding Performance and Contributions as a Boeing Focal on the USC Corporate Advisory Board award, all presented by Boeing. Additionally, he was honored with the Outstanding Performance and Contributions to Boeing USC 2012 Recruitment Team award.

Mr. Chandler attributes his success to his dedication, integrity, and commitment to the company’s objectives. His extensive career highlights include securing nine patents related to orbital refueling in space during his tenure at Boeing. He notably contributed to the National Aerospace Plane, a hypersonic technology-focused government program. Looking ahead, he envisions enriching his life through extensive travel, with Alaska at the top of his list.
