With 28 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Ingram has excelled as manager of Region 2 roadway design at the Tennessee Department of Transportation since 2023. He began his involvement with the same as a transportation project specialist from 2007 to 2017, a transportation project specialist supervisor 1 from 2016 to 2019, a transportation project specialist senior in 2019, and a transportation project specialist supervisor 2 from 2019 to 2023. He began his career as a CADD drafter at Lisega, Inc. USA from 1997 to 1999. At Winn Dixie Stores, Inc., he served as a sales associate and a stocker from 1995 to 1999. He worked at Food City as a night stocker and night assistant manager from 1999 to 2000 and at Wal-Mart as a night stocker from 2000 to 2006.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Ingram pursued an education at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Morristown, where he received a mechanical drafting diploma in architectural drafting and mechanical CAD/CADD in 1996 and an architectural drafting diploma in Architectural CAD/CADD in 1997. He continued his academic efforts at Walters State Community College, obtaining an associate of science in pre-engineering in 2002. He concluded his studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2006 and a Master of Science in civil engineering in 2017. He holds a professional engineering certification from the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Ingram remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a founding member of the American Society of Highway Engineers and a member of Chi Epsilon. In the immediate future, he is looking forward to a major project with the Tennessee Department of Transportation to widen an interstate highway. Additionally, he and his wife are planning to adopt a child.
