With over a decade and a half of experience to his credit, Mr. Sathiyanesan has built a successful career in software engineering, specializing in Basic Input/Output Systems (BIOS) and Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI). He currently excels as the principal software engineer at Oracle, a position he has held since 2022, where he is responsible for developing code and architecting frameworks for various projects, including creating, implementing, debugging, and refining software. A significant aspect of his work focuses on UEFI development, ensuring that the systems he designs are robust and efficient. His previous experience includes serving as principal engineer at AMI from 2018 to 2022, software engineer at AMI from 2013 to 2018, and senior system software engineer at AMI from 2007 to 2013. He also spent two years as a lecturer at Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology from 2005 to 2007. He laid a solid educational foundation, earning a master’s degree in computer science and engineering from RRCE in 2009.

He takes pride in leading the UEFI/BIOS development for Intel cloud server CRBs, including projects like Orion City and Vulcancity, utilizing NextGen Intel server processors. Additionally, he has reviewed an article for Elsevier Journal on “High Confidence Computing” and holds one patent. He attributes his success to hard work and building strong relationships. Looking ahead, he aims to rise to an executive role, such as director or chief technology officer, while also considering future opportunities in consulting or public speaking.
