Hired in 2018 as a senior manager of software engineering, he became the director of engineering from 2021 to 2023 and now serves as the senior director of engineering. In his role, Mr. Ravikumar manages a team of approximately 100 and is tasked with working with businesses, understanding and deploying their vision, and handling customer-facing issues. His expertise in software as a service (SaaS), specifically building large-scale enterprise SaaS ecosystems, enterprise software, agile methodologies, and databases, has been instrumental to his success. Before being recruited by UKG, Mr. Ravikumar was employed by Ultimate Software as a principal software engineer between 2007 and 2014 and then as the software engineering manager from 2014 to 2018.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in engineering from his native India, Mr. Ravikumar received a Master of Science in computer engineering from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Apart from his educational accomplishments, he has been active in his community by contributing to various children’s hospitals. In light of his success, Mr. Ravikumar won the Hackathon at UKG in 2024 for his contributions to developing an artificial intelligence project with a colleague, beating roughly 70 other teams company-wide.
