David M. Munson Jr., President at FOI Group LLC and Get Real Alliance, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Entrepreneurship.
Mr. Munson is lauded for his entrepreneurial investments as the president of Full of Ideas (FOI) Group LLC since 1999, an invention and patent-holding company based in Dallas, Texas. The company owns intellectual property at all life cycle stages, presently holding over five U.S. patents across various industries, including renewable energy, military and physical fitness, between 2006 and 2014. These patents include a fire extinguishing device and method, a solar energy storage system, a method and apparatus for physical fitness training, a method for a heat-actuated cooling system and a method for a remote docking port.
More recently, Mr. Munson established Get Real Alliance in Dallas as the company’s president in 2021, focusing on addressing climate change and the continued need for oil and gas. Get Real Alliance is supported by his website, GetRealTV.com, an advocacy group that provides realistic solutions to climate issues. Much of the company studies methods like rock dust remineralization of soil and wetlands, marine wetland restoration, and biochar additions for enhanced soil fertility and water retention, all of which transform the carbon cycle, thus reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide levels.
As a strong advocate for climate change, Mr. Munson frequently promotes solutions via the media, books, and letters to government candidates. He has also been a public speaker at various professional engagements for over a decade. Previously, Mr. Munson garnered success as a television host on UANetwork from 2017 to 2023. The show was titled “Insights with David Munson Jr.”
Apart from his work in this sector, Mr. Munson owned and operated 4M Cattle Ranch for over 35 years between 1981 and 2017. His family, which came from a legacy of wealth brought down from four generations of success, bought a significant ranch, allowing Mr. Munson to devote years to learning the complexities of agriculture.
Following high school, Mr. Munson completed coursework in mechanical engineering at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1980 before earning a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1985. His education has been pivotal in his success as a business owner and inventor.
Adding to his professional credentials, Mr. Munson authored “Get Real: A Positive Solution to Climate Change” via Performance Publishing Group in 2022. The book provides practical strategies for making the planet carbon-negative without abandoning oil and gas usage. Mr. Munson defends his book by emphasizing that his solutions are proven and achievable. He continues to advocate for such change, encouraging others to adopt his theories.
Mr. Munson is a professional member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, a reflection of his dedication to the field. As a loyal community member, he has been engaged in several noteworthy causes, including Educational First Steps as a supporter since 1999 and Inspired Vision Compassion Center. He is also affiliated with Rotary International.
Eager for future opportunities, Mr. Munson notes that his most recent invention can end world hunger and produce power that will serve approximately one billion individuals who rely on wood and dung for cooking.
