Before joining SentinelOne, he was a software engineer at Facebook in Menlo Park, California, from 2019 to 2021. He was also affiliated with Medallia, a software development company in Pleasanton, California, focusing on the customer, employee, citizen, and patient experience. Hired in 2015 as a staff software engineer, Mr. Priya became a senior staff engineer from 2016 to 2017 and a principal engineer between 2017 and 2019. Earlier in his career, he had opportunities with Twitter, Amazon and Cisco Systems Inc., dating back to 2007.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Priya received a Bachelor of Engineering in computer science from the PES Institute of Technology in India in 2007 and a Master of Science in computer science with a specialization in artificial intelligence from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2010. His education has been instrumental in his ongoing success in the industry.
Civically invested, Mr. Priya is committed to community efforts through charity work locally and abroad in his home country of India. He is particularly active with local orphanages in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, supporting underprivileged children and families. Mr. Priya’s dedication to giving back is a testament to his character and desire to make a difference globally.
Throughout his career, Mr. Priya has become an expert in the fusion of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI). His pioneering work has been instrumental in countering cyber threat actors exploiting AI to launch more sophisticated attacks by remaining ahead by utilizing AI as a proactive defensive tool. Among Mr. Priya’s most notable accomplishments is developing the Purple AI, a platform that uses large language models to strengthen cybersecurity measures. By empowering analysts with AI-driven insights, Purple AI simplifies complex investigations, enabling faster and more accurate threat mitigation.
In light of his success, the Georgia Institute of Technology recognized Mr. Priya as the first prize winner in a competition in 2009. His contribution included developing a prototype for an application with features similar to Uber’s, which did not exist then.
