Before being acquired by Amgen, Mr. Menendez Saa was a lead electrical and instrumentation engineer with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority from 2009 to 2018. At a defining time in his career, he specialized in automation and electrical engineering and was responsible for supporting power plants across the island. He also had the opportunity to collaborate with other organizations and power plants in Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Mr. Menendez Saa’s work contributed to the efficiency and reliability of energy production and the advancement of power generation technologies.
Possessing a rich educational background, Mr. Menendez Saa holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico in San Juan since 2009 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix since 2021. In addition to his degrees, he is active in his field as a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering and the National Society of Leadership and Success. These memberships have been instrumental in shaping Mr. Menendez Saa’s career success and expertise.
Civically engaged, Mr. Menendez Saa is active in community outreach efforts. He frequently volunteers for Holly Springs Food Cupboard in Holly Springs, North Carolina, and employee resource groups at Amgen.
Mr. Menendez Saa’s career success has been recognized with several awards. He received an Operation Innovation Award in 2021 and an Excellence in Operations Award in 2022. During his college years, he was honored to receive a Special Character Award. He also garnered a National Science Foundation scholarship for his hard work.
