Before joining his firm, Dr. Vaidya garnered experience with Woodard & Curran as a chief technologist. His role focused on water and environmental engineering solutions, frequently collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery and improve client satisfaction. Leveraging over two decades of success in his career in civil and environmental engineering, including water resource management, wastewater treatment, and solid waste facility management, Dr. Vaidya has earned tremendous respect for his work.
Highly educated, Dr. Vaidya holds a Bachelor of Engineering in civil engineering from the Walchand Institute of Technology in Solapur, India, since 1996, a Master of Engineering in civil engineering from the Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute in Mumbai, India, since 1999, a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Virginia Tech in Falls Church since 2001, and a Doctor of Philosophy in environmental engineering from the University of Central Florida in Orlando since 2007. His extensive educational background has been pivotal to his success in his industry.
In addition to his degrees, Dr. Vaidya holds several professional credentials, including being a project management professional by the Project Management Institute, a professional engineer in his state, and a board-certified environmental engineer in water supply and wastewater engineering by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists. He is also recognized as a Procore certified engineer through Procore Technologies.
Dr. Vaidya remains abreast of industry trends as a member of the American Water Works Association. His affiliation has allowed him to stay at the forefront of his field while networking with like-minded individuals.
Dr. Vaidya draws satisfaction from helping clients navigate public-private partnerships effectively. He also prides himself on empowering clients to reach their goals regarding high-risk projects and projects with substantial impacts. These initiatives often involve critical environmental concerns, such as enhancing the health of significant rivers or watersheds in the U.S., securing water rights or delivering multifaceted benefits for the industry and public users.
Dr. Vaidya received an academic scholarship from the Government of India during his college studies in 1998. He was also recognized with several Best Paper Awards for his research. Dr. Vaidya has attributed much of his success to his passion for his field and dedication to continuous learning and self-improvement.
