Mr. Rao, senior engineer level II at Grifols, is an experienced engineering and pharmaceuticals professional with three decades of success. Since 2024, he has been responsible for running capital project support and manufacturing support of existing products for his company while addressing and resolving complex issues that arise effectively and efficiently. Bringing a wealth of knowledge to his role at Grifols, Mr. Rao is excited about the opportunity to make meaningful contributions while expanding his expertise in aseptic sterile manufacturing.
Beginning his career as a controls engineer II at RAM Center in 1995, Mr. Rao then joined Benham, a Haskell Company, as an advanced system engineer and Rockwell Automation as a product manager. From 2000 to 2002, he owned and managed Magnamation. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Rao accepted an opportunity with GSK, working in site engineering and process controls, where he remained for over a decade. Ever since then, he has been active in biopharmaceuticals, where he has been able to contribute to customer care and address unmet needs, which he finds incredibly fulfilling. Mr. Rao also held leading roles with Emerson Automation and Sartorius before being recruited by Grifols.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Rao received an undergraduate and master’s degree in electrical engineering at Louisiana Tech University. He is actively engaged in his professional industry as a member of the Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers. He also enjoys giving back by donating to local causes. Originally from India, Mr. Rao is grateful to be a part of such an esteemed country. He is also honored to contribute to a remarkable industry where he can engage in challenging projects and make a difference.
