Rafael M. Koike, Master Principal Cloud Architect at Oracle, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Information Technology.
Mr. Koike, distinguished for his information technology (IT) expertise, joined Oracle, a cloud technology company based in Austin, Texas, in early 2025. As a master principal cloud architect, he has been assisting customers while ensuring a secure, scalable and resilient environment. Leveraging over 25 years of relative experience, Mr. Koike is grateful for the opportunity to work for such a respected organization.
Before being recruited by Oracle, Mr. Koike spent several years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Inc. Hired as a senior consultant for AWS’s LATAM, he worked in IT and services in São Paulo, Brazil, from 2015 to 2019. Mr. Koike then relocated to Atlanta and became a senior solutions architect until 2021 and principal solutions architect between 2021 and 2025.
Mr. Koike’s diverse career trajectory began at Fusion Technologies as a lead programmer in 1996, where he notably designed a concept and developed its accounting software, Contab2000. From 2001 to 2002, he worked as a freelance network and security consultant before joining Seimens, a German company, as a network and security specialist between 2003 and 2006. Among other noteworthy roles, Mr. Koike was affiliated with Telsinc as a security product manager from 2006 to 2010. He then rejoined Siemens as a project coordinator of IT and solutions and services between 2010 and 2011. Acquired by Atos, Mr. Koike excelled as a project coordinator and solutions manager beginning in 2011, followed by the role of systems engineer at Westcon in São Paulo until 2015.
A Uninove – Universidade Nove de Julho graduate in São Paulo, Mr. Koike received a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He also garnered a multitude of professional credentials, making him highly qualified in his field. Many of these are from AWS and include solutions architecture, DevOps engineering, machine learning and SAP certifications. Mr. Koke was also designated as a certified information security manager and certified information systems security professional.
Active in his professional community, Mr. Koike is a member of ISC2 Inc. and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. These memberships have helped him remain at the forefront of IT.
A well-written writer, Mr. Koike co-authored “AWS Certified Security Specialty.” He also published the book, “AWS Security Specialty Certification” as a co-author, which was released in 2022.
Mr. Koike’s success has earned him a Customer Satisfaction Award. AWS also recognized him with an America’s Most Valuable Team accolade, highlighting his efforts as a team player. Mr. Koike attributes much of his success to his security, storage and big data expertise. He is also very passionate about the industry, which drives him to continuously improve his knowledge. Admitting that much of what he does has come relatively easy for him, Mr. Koike has had a talent for understanding how things work since he was a young child.
As he anticipates the future of his career, one of Mr. Koike’s goals is to form his own company. He aims to continue working with organizations, assisting and supporting their needs as a leading authority in the field.
