Dr. Lvovsky, a seasoned aerospace engineer, has been leveraging his expertise as a contractor at NASA’s Johnson Space Center since 1994. Simultaneously, he has served as a technical professional IV at ARES Corporation, a Virginia defense and space manufacturing company that addresses complex nuclear, clean technology, space and defense challenges. Throughout his tenured career, Dr. Lvovsky has garnered success with several other leading organizations, including MEI Technologies Inc. (now Aegis Aerospace) as a senior engineer, TechTrans International as a quality assurance manager, and Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center as a deputy office manager, dating back to 1964.

In preparation for his future, Dr. Lvovsky received a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the Russian State Technological University in 1970 and a Doctor of Philosophy in aerospace engineering from Moscow State University of Aerospace Technologies in 1987. Throughout his career, he has garnered tremendous expertise in space vehicles, including ballistic rockets, heavy boosters and space station module manufacturing. His specialties include testing and verification, spacecraft and their systems, pressure and leak testing, optimization of manufacturing processes and patent research.

Dr. Lvovsky has become widely recognized for his accomplishments. He secured approximately 50 patents during his years in Russia, including one for a device for gas mixing, one for structure testing, and another for material permeation testing. He was also responsible for the development of the NASA-STD-7012 Leak Test Requirements. Furthermore, he disseminated much of his research in professional journals and proceedings, including as the author of ‘Optimizing and Standardizing Leak Test Methodology: Step Toward NASA Standard for Leak Testing’ in 2018. Dr. Lvovsky has been recognized for his work with an Exceptional Achievement Medal from NASA. He credits much of his success to the strong determination and work ethic his parents instilled in him.
