Ms. Salvatore, a leader in the technology space, has been affiliated with Apple Inc. for over five years. Initially acquired as an engineering program manager in 2017, she quickly advanced to senior manager of engineering program management in 2018. Since then, Ms. Salvatore has continually proven her worth managing a team of five engineering program managers while ensuring they understand and execute the projects at hand. Moreover, she works on various software features and is responsible for hiring all future engineers for her team. Ms. Salvatore’s expertise in software engineering and Apple’s software services have been pivotal to her success and continued growth at her multinational technology company.
Before joining Apple Inc., Ms. Salvatore was a senior program manager at WWFCO Technology Portfolio Management, NetApp, from 2016 to 2017. She also excelled as a program manager at the marketing technology office at NetApp between 2014 and 2016. Earlier in her career, Ms. Salvatore held roles at First Technology Federal Credit Union as a web and mobile software engineering manager from 2011 to 2014 and at Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union (now First Technology Federal Credit Union) as a web engineer and user interface lead between 2003 and 2011. Ms. Salvatore began her career at Hewlett-Packard (now HP Inc.) in 1995 as an information technology support engineer.
A University of San Francisco graduate, Ms. Salvatore received a Bachelor of Science in management information systems in 2002. Subsequently, she studied at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, where she obtained a Master of Science in web design and development in 2004 and a Master of Business Administration in information technology in 2014. Besides her degrees, Ms. Salvatore holds credentials through Scrum Alliance Inc. as a scrum master and certified scrum product owner since 2014 and 2015, respectively.
Ms. Salvatore enjoys giving back her free time by volunteering with nonprofit organizations like Black Girls Code. She also mentors second- and third-grade students and high schoolers at her local school district and offers her support through her church.
Throughout her career, Ms. Salvatore has been fortunate to serve as an instrumental leader at the organizations where she has worked. As a web engineer in the credit union industry, she was recognized for her diligence in developing an online banking system for the Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union. At that time, the credit union embarked on developing its first online banking system, and she was tasked with creating many features, one of which was the invention and implementation of two-factor authentication. Ms. Salvatore’s contributions were recognized when she became a 2010 finalist for the secure online banking case study award by the Computerworld Honors Program. In addition to this recognition, her expertise was honored in 2011 when PayPal Holdings Inc. presented her with a Best User Interface Award.
Ms. Salvatore credits much of her professional success to the support of those who believe in her, including both professionals and family members. Growing up as the daughter of immigrants from Central America, she has been inspired by her parents’ journey, which fuels her motivation to do her best in every endeavor. Ms. Salvatore intends to continue advancing at Apple Inc. in the coming years. She is passionate about her leadership role as a manager and helping develop her team. Additionally, she remains committed to volunteering and engaging with young adults and children, where she can serve as a role model for young women and individuals from underprivileged backgrounds.
