Ms. Wu has established herself as a distinguished professional in the field of software engineering, demonstrating a remarkable trajectory through various roles and organizations. Currently serving as a DevOps engineer at Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering and innovative technology solutions, since 2025, she is responsible for optimizing and automating processes to enhance the efficiency and reliability of software systems. Ms. Wu’s expertise in software programming, designing and architecting has been instrumental in her success.
Before joining Amentum, Ms. Wu was a senior software engineer at Agilebeat Inc. from 2024 to 2025. During this time, she was involved in developing applications, writing code, testing it and submitting it to the hub for final approval. Between 2022 and 2024, she served as a site reliability engineer at Microsoft as part of its O365 team. Ms. Wu’s earlier tenure at Oracle, from 2020 to 2022, as a senior site reliability engineer, saw her recognized for leading one of Oracle’s core values, which was influential in cementing her reputation as an expert in her field.
Ms. Wu’s career began with roles such as intermediate software developer and software engineer at XOR Security (now Agile Defense). She also held positions as a Java developer at Leidos and Robert Half Technology, and earlier as a software engineer at Acision. Ms. Wu’s initial foray into the industry began in 2008 as an associate information technology analyst at AT&T, where she earned a 100% customer satisfaction rating for her work.
Laying the foundation for her successful career, Ms. Wu earned a diploma from The Bronx High School of Science in 1997. She then received a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, in 2007 and a master’s degree in computer software engineering, cum laude, from Stratford University in Virginia in 2017. Besides her formal education, Ms. Wu’s commitment to continuous learning was evident through her numerous certifications, including those from Scaled Agile Inc. as a SAFe 5 practitioner and Oracle as a cloud infrastructure foundations certified associate. She also completed a course at Cornell University called Python for Data Science and one at Columbia University called Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning. More recently, Ms. Wu became certified in Azure AI fundamentals through Microsoft in 2024.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Wu is actively involved in civic-minded organizations as a volunteer with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its Washington, D.C., temple. She is also a donor to various charitable organizations.
As an accomplished author, Ms. Wu released “Inspired: A Collection of Poems for the Soul,” published by Xlibris US in 2021. Her most significant achievement, however, was leading the development of a testing application where she created both the prototype and the back-end, laying a solid foundation for her team and ultimately delivering a fully functioning product to the customer.
Ms. Wu credits her success to her discipline, focus at work, attention to detail and eagerness to learn new skills. Looking ahead, she envisions herself advancing into managerial roles where she can guide and supervise teams of developers or engineers.
