Mr. Ghike has established a successful career in the automotive and technology sectors, marked by nearly 15 years of progressive experience in software-defined vehicles. Currently serving as a senior product manager at Aptiv since 2025, he is responsible for developing and executing the product roadmap, ensuring the global engineering team, which spans six countries, delivers on strategic objectives. Mr. Ghike’s role encompasses technical sales, profit and loss management for his product line, and direct customer engagement to align solutions with market needs. His leadership has been instrumental in securing significant deals with global car manufacturers, leveraging his technical acumen and business insight.
Affiliated with Aptiv since 2022, Mr. Ghike previously served as a product management lead. Recruited from Cummins Inc., he held the role of digital product manager for battery electric and hydrogen products from 2021 to 2022. Mr. Ghike’s earlier roles with the motor vehicle manufacturing company included serving as a technical project leader in research and development and as a senior electronic controls engineer for machine integration, dating back to 2015. His tenure at Cummins Inc. included playing a pivotal role in securing funding from the U.S. Department of Energy for an autonomous truck initiative. This milestone marked a turning point in his career, as it expanded Mr. Ghike’s responsibilities to include business management, project execution and strategic decision-making under uncertain conditions.
Mr. Ghike’s earlier experience included an embedded software engineering internship at LG Chem Power Inc. in 2014, where he worked within the battery division during his graduate studies. His foundational experiences also included his role as a controls engineer with the modeling and control teams of the Hybrid Electric Vehicle Enterprise at Michigan Technological University from 2013 to 2014, involved in mentoring undergraduate students in building hybrid electric multi-terrain vehicles and contributing to laboratory research on super-efficient engines as a short-term scholar in the Energy Mechatronics Laboratory. Mr. Ghike initially worked as an assistant system engineer at Tata Consultancy Services between 2011 and 2013.
Mr. Ghike’s academic background has been integral to his professional achievements. His undergraduate studies culminated in a Bachelor of Engineering in electronics and telecommunication engineering from Nagpur University in 2011, during which he developed a keen interest in automotive applications. Mr. Ghike then completed a Master of Science in electrical engineering at Michigan Technological University in 2014, where he participated in advanced research laboratories focused on energy mechatronics and hybrid vehicle systems. Additionally, Mr. Ghike acquired a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University in 2021, which provided him with strategic financial acumen. In addition to his formal education, Mr. Ghike received a certification as a self-driving car engineer from Udacity and completed the systems engineering certificate program at the University of Detroit Mercy.
Active professionally, Mr. Ghike has been a member of SAE International since 2014. As a recognized expert in software-defined vehicles, his commitment to innovation has resulted in U.S. patents for predicting battery state of health and system optimization for autonomous terminal tractor operation. Mr. Ghike’s contributions have extended to numerous technical projects, including integrating battery modules with motor controllers using dSpace, developing hybrid automotive traction e-motor control systems, and implementing CAN communication across platforms using CANalyzer and CANcaseXL.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Ghike has been actively involved in civic initiatives, including volunteering at local food banks and clothing charities, supporting STEM activities in schools and mentoring FIRST robotics teams.
Recognized with several awards, Mr. Ghike was a two-time recipient of the Globee Award, was the runner-up at the Indiana ACG Cup Finance Competition through ACG Indiana, and received the Cummins System Engineering Achievement Award. He attributes his success to a relentless drive for results, strategic thinking honed through finance and engineering roles, and a lifelong commitment to learning. He also credits his wife as his most significant source of motivation and inspiration.
