Before his current position, Mr. Kesavalalji was a senior engineer at Nordstrom, Inc., from 2018 to 2023. During this five-year tenure, he contributed to the development and optimization of large-scale retail technology platforms, enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiency. In early 2018, Mr. Kesavalalji excelled in a contract position as a software engineer at Apple Inc., where he played a key role in developing robust software systems for one of the world’s leading technology companies.

Mr. Kesavalalji worked at Google as a software engineer for several years, starting in 2016. His responsibilities included device service automation, functional testing and end-to-end device testing, among other projects that reached millions of users globally.

Before moving to the United States, Mr. Kesavalalji worked in India as a lead consultant and manager at British Telecommunications plc from 2015 to 2016, where he managed complex telecommunications projects and provided strategic guidance on digital transformation initiatives. Among other professional opportunities, he worked as a solutions architect and lead at Saggezza, now Apexon, in India between 2013 and 2015. Earlier, Mr. Kesavalalji was a principal software engineer at ArisGlobal, a U.S.-based company, in India from 2012 to 2013, and a senior software engineer at NIIT Technologies Ltd. in Dubai between 2010 and 2012. He initially worked as a senior engineer at MindTree Ltd., now LTM, a global technology consulting and digital solutions company based in India, for two years, beginning in 2006.

Mr. Kesavalalji’s academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Technology in electronics and communication engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad, India, completed in 2006. This degree provided him with essential analytical skills and technical knowledge that have underpinned his achievements in software development and systems architecture. Mr. Kesavalalji further distinguished himself through multiple professional credentials, including being a certified web component developer 5 and a Sun-certified Java programmer 6 from Sun Microsystems. He also became a certified Java SE 11 professional through Oracle and a certified cloud practitioner from Amazon Web Services, Inc.

Despite not having an engineering background initially, Mr. Kesavalalji is most proud of his ability to succeed in the highly competitive field of technology. His journey across India, Dubai, Tanzania, various regions of Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States has enriched his understanding of diverse cultures and broadened his professional perspective.

Mr. Kesavalalji is an active member of several prominent industry organizations. He is a fellow of the BCS, The Chartered Institute for Information Technology, a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a member of the International Engineering and Technology Institute and the Association for Computing Machinery. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Kesavalalji is committed to civic engagement and mentorship. He volunteers with the IEEE, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Asha Foundation and Let Me Run while also serving as a judge and mentor at Stanford University.

Throughout these formative years, Mr. Kesavalalji developed a reputation for innovative problem-solving and dedication to quality. In recognition of his contributions, he received accolades such as the Excellent Team Member Award and the Dedicated Out-of-the-Box Thinker Award. During his early tenure at MindTree Ltd., Mr. Kesavalalji was recognized with the Spot Award in 2008 for outstanding performance.

Mr. Kesavalalji attributes his success to the lessons learned while working across continents, recognizing that shared human aspirations have enabled him to connect with colleagues worldwide. He values the support he has received from mentors and peers throughout his journey, as well as the principles of humility and acceptance instilled in him by his parents.
