Since 2022, he has served as the senior commissioning, qualification and validation program manager and southeast regional lead in North Carolina. In this capacity, Mr. Kumarapally manages a team of over 30 engineers while overseeing client relationships and driving business growth. His leadership has resulted in a remarkable 400% increase in regional revenue and a fivefold increase in headcount.
Before his promotion, Mr. Kumarapally was a commissioning and qualification manager in North Carolina from 2020 to 2022 after previously serving in the same capacity for the organization at its Canadian location, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the office there, alongside the director. Primarily responsible for preparing strategies, managing his team and serving as a subject-matter expert for the Canadian office, he also managed the commissioning and qualification functions to ensure that all equipment and facilities used in drug manufacturing underwent rigorous testing to meet regulatory standards.
Affiliated with Hyde Engineering + Consulting since 2013, Mr. Kumarapally initially worked as an assistant manager of validations in India. Relocating to the U.S., he then served as a lead engineer throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region, including New York and Pennsylvania, between 2013 and 2020. Additionally, Mr. Kumarapally upheld the positions of commissioning and qualification manager and senior consultant.

He also worked in executive quality assurance and validations at Reliance Life Sciences from 2007 to 2010, following training at Yuvraj Biobiz Incubator India Pvt. Ltd. starting in 2006.
Mr. Kumarapally holds a Bachelor of Technology in industrial biotechnology from Anna University in India since 2006 and a Master of Science in quality management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, also in India, since 2012. He also received an advanced diploma in biopharmaceuticals manufacturing from the Reliance Institute of Life Sciences in 2008 and completed a process validation training course through the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering in 2019, where he also serves as a member. Mr. Kumarapally’s academic background laid the foundation for his success in the pharmaceutical industry.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Kumarapally is deeply committed to civic engagement. He has volunteered with organizations such as Boston Volunteers and India Against Corruption. He also supports various charitable causes through monetary donations to UNICEF, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and other organizations.
Mr. Kumarapally attributes his success to the support of his family and mentors who have inspired him throughout his journey.
