Before joining Monadnock Construction Inc., Mr. Molla served as a partner, vice president and director of safety corporation at Flatiron Construction from 2011 to 2018. In this capacity, he further honed his expertise in managing complex safety protocols across large-scale projects. Before his time with Flatiron Construction, Mr. Molla dedicated about a decade to L & M Construction. Recruited from Adler Valentine, where he spent three years, he gained a foundational understanding of the field and his approach to workplace safety. Mr. Molla’s journey in construction began at age 14, reflecting a lifelong passion for the field. After immigrating to the United States on a permanent resident visa, he embraced new opportunities with gratitude and determination.

Mr. Molla credits his success to both his technical knowledge and the support he received upon arriving in the country. Throughout his career, he has continuously sought innovative ways to enhance workplace safety and has valued the guidance provided by mentors and colleagues.

Before settling in the United States, Mr. Molla attended Polytechnic University of Tirana in Tirana, Albania, where he acquired a bachelor’s degree in 1989 and a master’s degree in structural engineering in 1991. His formal education provided a strong technical foundation that has supported his achievements in engineering and project management throughout his career.

Mr. Molla’s professional development is further evidenced by several key credentials, including board-certified health and safety technician status, certified Occupational Safety and Health Administration trainer designation, and New York City Building Department certification. These qualifications have enabled him to implement best practices in compliance with local and federal regulations while maintaining high standards for employee training.

As a member of The Associated General Contractors of America, Inc., Mr. Molla remains actively engaged with industry peers. In addition to his professional commitments, he is civically engaged as a mentor to young men and as a donor to The American National Red Cross. These activities reflect his dedication to supporting both individuals entering the industry and broader community initiatives.

Mr. Molla has learned through experience that creating a safe environment brings him great satisfaction, particularly when every team member returns home without incident. This lesson continues to shape his approach as he mentors others in the profession. Looking ahead, Mr. Molla intends to continue sharing his expertise by training and mentoring others entering the construction industry. He is especially focused on emphasizing that safety is not just about compliance but about protecting lives on every job site.

As he advances toward retirement, teaching remains one of Mr. Molla’s greatest passions. For those considering a similar path in engineering or construction management, he advises staying current with industry developments, never giving up on learning, and always seeking improvement by listening to experienced colleagues and mentors.
