Robert Von Eschen, Retired Construction Manager at Shary Utilities, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in construction.
With more than 50 years of professional experience, Mr. Von Eschen retired in 2017, having been a construction manager with Shary Utilities since 2011. Prior to obtaining this role, he lent his expertise to Pantex, Mason & Hanger, P2S, and the Gilbert Association-Inter America-United Energy Service. Earlier in his career, he held a number of positions with Stanley Consultants, Inc., the World Bank Group, and Eagle Construction Company.
Mr. Von Eschen began his career as a student at Montana State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering in 1961. He subsequently completed postgraduate work in international law at the University of Liberia, as well as postgraduate coursework with Lakeland Community College and Glendale Community College. Mr. Von Eschen is a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He attributes his success to his mentors. It is hard to pick out any single person but he admires his fellows in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, civilian and not, who taught him the field in basic training. A lot of these gentlemen were not engineer graduates; they were very experienced construction people.
