Mr. Vought is a distinguished professional whose career began at Science Applications International Corporation as a hydrogeologist between 1998 and 2003. He has subsequently contributed his expertise to numerous organizations, including Coastal Engineering Consultants, Inc., between 2003 and 2005, Blasland, Bouck and Lee/ARCADIS between 2005 and 2007, CDM between 2007 and 2009, DHI Water and Environment, Inc., between 2009 and 2011, Hatch between 2012 and 2013, Southwest Florida Water Management District between 2013 and 2018, and Communication Corner and More!, Inc., between 2014 and 2021. Presently, he serves as a senior professional engineer for the Southwest Florida Water Management District as well as the owner and president of KCD Pros, LLC. In addition, he is a published author of a book titled “I’m Supposed to Make a Difference: A Memoir About Overcoming Trauma and Abuse.”
Attributing his success to his unwavering internal drive to continuously strive for excellence, Mr. Vought utilized this asset to earn a Bachelor of Science in physics and mathematics from the State University of New York at Oswego, magna cum laude in 1995. He obtained a Master of Science in civil engineering and a Master of Science in nuclear engineering from The Ohio State University in 1998. He was acknowledged as a fellow in low-level radioactive waste management by the Department of Energy. In 2008, Mr. Vought became registered as a professional engineer by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers.
