Jon Schneider, Engineering Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Engineering.
Mr. Schneider has been an engineering consultant in Plymouth, Minnesota, since 2018, who leverages over 25 years of experience as an electrical engineer, software architect and technical project leader to serve clients. His career began in 1996 as a member of the AT&T Bell Labs technical staff in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. Subsequently, Mr. Schneider joined Lockheed Martin Tactical Systems Inc. as a senior staff engineer, followed by high-level positions with JAB Transportation LLC, Premier Technologies, Infinity 3D Laser Measuring, and, most recently, at GM Energy, General Motors, working in advanced technology and product planning, contributing significantly to electric vehicles.
A graduate of DeVry University, Mr. Schneider received a Bachelor of Science in electrical and electronics engineering in 1983, receiving Presidential Honors. He also holds a Learning Resources Network certification through the Project Management Institute since 2016. Mr. Schneider has remained at the forefront of the industry through memberships with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Lockheed Martin Alumni Association and the GM Alumni Association. His aerospace, automotive, and telecommunications expertise has also been pivotal to his success and longevity.
Throughout his career in engineering, Mr. Schneider secured several U.S. Patents for his work. He has also been instrumental in driving the design, development and delivery of award-winning embedded systems and applications across various industries, such as energy, automotive and government. However, Mr. Schneider’s most significant achievements have been his contributions to the aerospace and telecommunications industries. In the coming years, he intends to leverage his expertise to have trains and airplanes in production with Boeing.
