Steven Ramos, Senior Project Engineer at DRMP Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements and leadership in Civil Engineering.
Mr. Ramos is recognized for his contributions to civil engineering, marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering high-quality results. Currently serving as a senior project engineer at DRMP Inc. since 2023, he oversees comprehensive project management responsibilities, including design and construction permitting. Mr. Ramos’s role encompasses the full spectrum of site engineering projects, from initial surveying and data collection to the integration of utilities, stormwater systems, sewage and other critical infrastructure components.
Affiliated with DRMP Inc. since 2015, Mr. Ramos’s engineering firm is headquartered in Orlando, Florida, and has over 20 additional locations throughout the Southeastern United States. Hired as a survey technician, where he developed a strong foundation in land surveying and technical analysis, he was quickly promoted to project engineer in 2017.
Mr. Ramos also spent several years with Carnahan, Proctor and Cross Inc., in Deerfield Beach, Florida, as a project engineer between 2019 and 2023. Established nearly 50 years ago, it is lauded as a premier engineering firm in Florida. In his role, Mr. Ramos was instrumental in managing complex engineering assignments, which provided him with the opportunity to further refine his skills in stormwater management, utilities and roadway design.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Ramos obtained a Bachelor of Science in land surveying, with highest honors, and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, in 2013. He also garnered several professional credentials that underscore his qualifications and dedication to professional growth. He is certified as a professional engineer in civil water resources and environmental engineering by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers and the Florida Engineers Management Corporation as of 2023, as well as by the Department of State, Government of Puerto Rico, since 2024. Additional designations include an engineering intern certification from the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, an engineer-in-training certification from the Department of State, Government of Puerto Rico, and an Occupational Safety and Health Administration construction safety and health certification.
Mr. Ramos’s professional affiliations reflect his commitment to industry advancement and knowledge sharing. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Fire Protection Association and the East Central branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Beyond his technical pursuits, Mr. Ramos has demonstrated civic engagement through leadership roles, having served as the director of marketing and communications for the Puerto Rico Professional College of Engineers and Land Surveyors from 2015 to 2017. He has also contributed to youth development as a big brother with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Association of Florida Inc.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ramos has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in civil engineering disciplines, including stormwater management, utilities and roadway systems. Among his most notable projects was the extensive stormwater analysis conducted for a significant reserve in Florida, where he played a pivotal role from inception through completion.
