Mr. Ratneshwaran has established a distinguished career spanning three decades, marked by significant contributions to artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and enterprise technology solutions. Since 2017, he has served as the head of the AI and Cloud Center of Excellence at Intel Corporation in San Francisco, California. In this capacity, Mr. Ratneshwaran analyzes diverse use cases and develops sample workloads optimized for Intel hardware and software solutions. He also provides customers with tailored solutions and optimizations for real-world applications, ensuring that their workloads are both efficient and high-performing on Intel platforms.

During his tenure at Intel Corporation, Mr. Ratneshwaran played a pivotal role in the company’s transformation from a solutions provider to a recognized leader in the field. Initially, he focused on supporting startups and small businesses, successfully assisting approximately 150 startups in leveraging Intel technologies. His responsibilities expanded to collaborating with major cloud service providers and independent software vendors, such as IBM and Oracle. Mr. Ratneshwaran’s expertise in provisioning AI solutions on large cloud-based systems has been instrumental in helping these organizations implement Intel platforms for their customers while optimizing performance through advanced hardware and software integration.

Among other initiatives at Intel Corporation, Mr. Ratneshwaran was instrumental in delivering Intel Gaudi AI to IBM, resulting in one of the largest deployments of Intel’s AI hardware. This accomplishment, valued at nearly $200 million, represented a significant advancement for Intel in the AI sector and stands as a testament to Mr. Ratneshwaran’s impact on the industry.

Apart from his full-time work at Intel Corporation, Mr. Ratneshwaran has served as an advisory board member and senior director of engineering and AI at OptimEyes AI (now RiskOpsAI), an AI-powered, on-demand SaaS solution for cybersecurity, data privacy and compliance risk modeling based in San Diego, California. Since 2018, he has been providing strategic guidance on engineering initiatives and AI advancements.

From 2009 to 2017, Mr. Ratneshwaran was the head of co-innovation solutions for the Americas at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. in San Francisco. There, he led efforts to integrate startup innovations into Tata Consultancy Services’ offerings for large enterprise clients. One of Mr. Ratneshwaran’s most significant successes was developing automated warehousing solutions using AI, including a comprehensive system where drones conducted inventory checks to ensure accuracy between recorded and physical inventory. This large-scale solution overcame multiple technological challenges prior to successful implementation.

Between 2007 and 2009, Mr. Ratneshwaran held the position of service-oriented architecture and network solutions lead architect at Oracle. He contributed to new product monetization strategies such as Coherence and began his early work in machine learning and AI with a focus on data sharing between algorithms and grid-based systems. Many concepts developed during this period have influenced modern cloud computing architectures.

Recruited to Oracle from Siemens Cooperative Research, Mr. Ratneshwaran spent 2004 to 2007 as the lead telecom architect for the German-based technology company. During this time, he contributed to the development of one of the first Third Generation Partnership Project networks, delivering innovative telecommunications solutions to major global providers. Mr. Ratneshwaran’s work required extensive international travel to support implementation and sales efforts across more than 35 leading telecommunications companies.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Ratneshwaran garnered success at AT&T Bell Laboratories between 1998 and 2004 as a research engineer before advancing to telecom solutions architect. He played a key role in developing some of the earliest voice-over-Internet-Protocol networks, laying the foundational work for future advancements in digital communications. Mr. Ratneshwaran began his professional journey as a senior software engineer at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. in 1996, later returning to the technology partner in 2009.

Mr. Ratneshwaran’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in computer science in his native country from the University of Mumbai, completed in 1996, and a Master of Technology Management in the U.S. from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, earned in 2003. These academic achievements provided him with a strong foundation in both technical expertise and management acumen that has supported his professional accomplishments.

In addition to his formal education, Mr. Ratneshwaran pursued continuous professional development through numerous certifications between 2019 and 2024 that reflect his commitment to staying at the forefront of technological innovation. Among them, he is an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Inc. certified solutions architect through Linux Academy and an AWS solutions architect professional and certified solutions architect – associate through AWS Inc. Mr. Ratneshwaran also holds credentials as an Intel technical lead through Intel Corporation and as a certified service-oriented architecture architect by Oracle.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Ratneshwaran is an active supporter of various nonprofit organizations, reflecting his dedication to civic engagement and community betterment. He attributes his success to an unwavering commitment to continuous learning and improvement, coupled with humility, allowing him to recognize opportunities for growth regardless of past achievements or circumstances.

Mr. Ratneshwaran’s career is distinguished by technical innovation, leadership across global enterprises, and an enduring commitment to advancing AI solutions that benefit both industry and society at large. He is currently engaged in developing entirely new hardware for AI and cloud systems, distinctly different from existing market offerings, with an aim toward supporting a fully circular economy. Mr. Ratneshwaran’s vision includes leveraging AI systems based on graph technologies not currently available to create positive environmental impacts by transforming waste into raw materials for manufacturing processes.
